Japanese Scholars: Beer Has Anticancer Utility

A scholar from the University of Okayama in Japan discovered that beer contains a variety of ingredients that have anti-cancer effects.

Associate Professor of Okayama University has Yuan Saga Huirang's carcinogenic substance methylation agent exposed to Salmonella gene. Under normal circumstances, the gene of this bacterium will suddenly mutate—the initial stage of carcinogenesis, and then it will be freeze-dried. The various components separated from the beer react with it and found that at least 6 components of the beer inhibit the sudden mutation of the gene. After analysis, one of them is a nucleic acid compound that exists in the cell's ribonucleic acid (RNA).
