Zhejiang developed fungal pesticides

A new type of fungal insecticide has been identified in China by using a sucking mouthpart pest, such as aphids, leafhoppers, and mites, as a target. The expert group identified the pesticide as having reached the international advanced level. The results highlight three major technological advantages: The first is the self-isolation and screening of Beauveria bassiana strains with high insecticidal activity, and it has strong invasiveness and high insecticidal activity against a variety of aphid-boring insect target pests such as aphids and leafhoppers. It is harmless to vertebrates and the environment; the second is low cultivation cost, easy to cultivate and harvest, and less investment; third, advanced preparation technology. The emergence of fungal pesticides will greatly benefit the production of pollution-free agricultural products.
