Cultivate strong seedlings
1. Variety selection. You can choose the early-maturing variety "Zaohong" imported from the Netherlands and suitable for spring open field cultivation. The leaf color is purple-red, the leaf ball is oval, and the weight of a single ball is 0.75 to 1 kg. It takes about 65 to 70 days from planting to harvest.
2. Sowing in the right time. In spring open field cultivation, seedlings can be raised in protected areas in February, sowing dry seeds, and raising seedlings in nutritious bowls. Fully water the nutrient soil before sowing, and cover the soil with a thickness of 1.5 cm after sowing. Then cover the membrane to promote early emergence of strong seedlings.
3. Seedling management. The general seedling age is 70 to 90 days, and it is 20 to 30 days after sowing to 2 true leaves. During the emergence period, the daytime temperature should be kept at about 25℃, and the night temperature should be 15℃. After the seedlings emerge, the temperature is lowered to 20°C during the day and 10°C at night. It takes 45-60 days for seedlings to grow from 3 true leaves to 6-8 true leaves. Carry out low temperature exercise before planting, keep it at about 15℃ during the day and 7℃~8℃ at night, gradually approaching the temperature of the open field. The standard for strong seedlings is: 6 to 8 true leaves, short internodes, thick leaves, deep color, strong stems, and developed roots.
Soil preparation and fertilization
Purple cabbage likes fertilizer, the base fertilizer is generally 5,000 kilograms of high-quality circle fertilizer, 15 kilograms of diammonium phosphate and 15 kilograms of potassium fertilizer per mu.
Colonization
Open field cultivation should not be advanced to avoid immature bolting of plants. Generally after the Ching Ming Festival in spring, the temperature is stable above 6 ℃ and planted. Adopt "water to stabilize seedlings", and the amount of water is not easy to be too large to promote slowing of seedlings. The planting density row spacing is 50 cm × 50 cm, planting 2500-2600 plants per acre, the planting depth is based on the leaves left on the top, and the core leaves are not buried in the soil as the standard. Such as the adoption of improved plastic mulching cultivation can promote early maturity and high yield.
Field management
Purple cabbage requires a lot of fertilizer, and topdressing is 4 to 5 times in the seedling stage, rosette stage and heart-packing stage. From planting to the late stage of the rosette 30~40 days, the heart leaves begin to internalize, indicating that the heading period has been reached. This period is the period when the purple cabbage grows fastest and the amount of growth is the largest, and it also requires the amount of fertilizer and water**** ** Period. Therefore, the heading period should be combined with watering and topdressing 2~3 times, applying 10~15 kg of diammonium phosphate per mu, and applying a small amount of chemical fertilizer in the later period, especially before the harvest, do not over-fertilize to avoid ball cracking.
