Twenty scholars jointly published in Protein Cell: Negative Han Chunyu NgAgo gene editing paper
The double-even night IC Research article in the zebrafish denied the editing function of the NgAgo gene was published only four days, another domestic journal Protein Cell (the magazine was jointly organized by the Higher Education Press, Beijing Institute of Bioscience and the Chinese Biophysical Society). Founded, Dr. Rao Zihe, Academician of the Institute of Biophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, is the editor-in-chief. The deputy editors include Academician of the Beijing Academy of Sciences, Academician Kang Le, Associate Dean Gao Fu, and Researcher of the National Laboratory of Protein Science, Xu Ruiming. Founded in 2010, the latest IF: 3.818 And quickly published a questionable article entitled "Questions about NgAgo" in the form of Letter. The Cell Research article is not actually refuting the article on Han Chunyu's NBT, which is not repeated in accordance with the experimental methods in the NBT article. The article on Protein Cell is actually a direct and targeted repetitive experiment in some experiments in NBT, that is, using the plasmid provided by Han Chunyu Lab to design gDNA for the same gene in 293T. This article also responded to the "superb experimental skills" mentioned by Han Chunyu, the sensitivity of NgAgo to mycoplasma contamination and the inhibition of GFP inhibition by exogenous transfer in NBTFig. The experimental results also indicated the exogenously transferred GFP. Expression did decrease after co-transfection of NgAgo and gDNA, but no DNA was detected by sequencing, and it was unrealistic to mention that so many independent laboratories were repeatedly contaminated with mycoplasma.
In order to clarify the so-called "superb experimental skills", some of the co-branded authors also sent some students to visit the laboratory of Han Chunyu of Hebei University of Science and Technology. However, these students were not allowed to operate experiments in the Korean laboratory.
