1, sows estrus cycle. The estrus cycle is 16-25 days, with an average of 21 days. The gilts are estrus at about 150-170 days of age; the sows are estrus 3-10 days after weaning.
2, the early stage of estrus. The sows were thrilled; they were sensitive to the surrounding environment; feed intake decreased significantly; genital area was slightly red and swollen; sows had a more pronounced performance than sows.
3, the performance of estrus. Trying to crawl into other sows; genital swelling is evident; viscous secretions are visible; standing upright when the other sow crawls, both ears erect.
4, late estrus ovulation. It is only in the estrus stage that the sows receive boar mating. General sows begin ovulation 36 to 40 hours after estrus. Therefore, sows are required to be escorted 3-4 times during the estrus period, 12-24 hours apart.
5, timely breeding. (1) For empty sows and gilts that have been bred, the estrus should be checked every morning and evening. For sows that have been bred, special attention should be paid to checking whether they return to the animals after 18-24 days and 38-44 days after breeding. Once the estrus and regrowth sows are found, they should strive for timely breeding. (2) The estrus sow should be bred or inseminated twice during the estrus duration. For the first time, in the morning when the pig's back has a standing reaction, it will be bred or inseminated once in the afternoon of the same day and then be bred or inseminated once in the morning; when there is standing reaction in the back of the pig in the afternoon, it will be bred on the next morning or Insemination once in the afternoon or insemination. (3) pregnancy judgment. The easiest way to determine the pregnancy is whether the sow returns heat within 21-30 days of breeding. If no heat is established, it is dubbed. Otherwise, it is not dubbed. Pigs that have not been paired for two consecutive periods of time should be eliminated immediately. Sow pregnancy range is 110-120 days. An average of 114 days.
