There are many methods for the application of human excrement, which can be used as base fertilizer and topdressing fertilizer, and is more suitable for topdressing. The top dressing is particularly effective for leafy vegetable crops, fiber crops, mulberry, and tea.
Human excrement is best applied centrally. In drylands, diluted with water and applied to the roots of crops, immediately cover the soil. The dilution factor depends on the crop, size, and soil conditions. The crop seedlings and drought soil should be diluted with water at least 5-10 times; Or when the soil is wet, add 3-5 times of water; for rice topdressing, it should be drained first, then add water 2-3 times, combined with tillage application, 2-3 days before irrigation.
Human excrement contains less organic matter. Therefore, it should be applied to soils with loose texture or low organic matter. Manure, compost and quick-acting fertilizers should be applied to meet various nutrient requirements of crops.
Human urine contains more chlorine. Excessive application will affect the quality of certain crops, such as the flammability and aroma of tobacco, the starch content of potato and sweet potato, the sugar of sugar beets, the spicy taste of ginger, etc.; It is mixed with alkaline substances such as ash.
