Originating in North America, it was introduced to China through Europe in the 17th century and escaped into the wild. Evening Primrose is cold-tolerant, drought-tolerant, resistant to barren, hi light, bogey water, and convulsions require certain low-temperature stimulation. Two-year-old plants are 100--140cm tall; annuals are 60--90cm tall. Basal leaves clustered in rosettes, stem leaves alternate, lower leaves narrowly long lanceolate, short upper leaves. Stems erect, branched. The fleshy roots of the convulsions were white, and the main roots were lignified after convulsions. Flower yellow, flower diameter 4 ~ 5cm. The petals fall heart-shaped. Flowering from June to October, fruit ripening period from August to November. Live or seedling transplanting. Seeds in direct seeding should be treated at a low temperature in advance and then sown with a sowing volume of 0.2 g/m2 and a cover soil of about 0.5 cm after sowing. Evening primrose flowers are open at night, with pleasant aromas, suitable for embellishing night scenes, and used with other green materials for gardens, gardens, flower beds and greenery along the roads. There are about 100 species of the same genus, commonly cultivated are: O.drummondii; O.odorata; O. speciosa, etc.
