Japan has developed a wireless electrocardiograph weighing only about 15g.
Release date: 2013-09-02
According to Japanese media reports, Japan ZMP has developed a wireless electrocardiograph with a weight of only about 15g (including battery) - ZMP ECG2, and has begun to accept orders and supply. In terms of price, the regular version of the ZMP ECG2 is priced at 398,000 yen and the educational version is 248,000 yen.
According to reports, the sampling rate of ZMP ECG2 has been increased from 204Hz to 256Hz in the previous models, which can obtain more detailed data. "Using a self-developed communication protocol to reduce power consumption" (ZMP), a single button battery (CR2032) can be used for continuous measurement for 72 hours, compared to 42 hours in the past. In addition, continuous measurement of about 120 hours can be achieved when only ECG data is measured. The wireless communication of data uses the 2.4 GHz band.
The product is also equipped with a 3-axis accelerometer and temperature sensor for remote measurement of posture and motion data. The 3-axis accelerometer's range is adjustable from ±2g to ±16g. Heart rate change analysis can also be performed using separately sold analysis software.
In addition, ZMP ECG2 is easy to operate. After installing the electrodes on the body and wearing them on the chest, just press the switch to measure. It is conceivable for use in the fields of medical bioengineering for obtaining biometric information, and for measuring the driver's electrocardiographic data in the automotive field.
